Is situated at the start of the Murray to The Mountains Rail Trail, a bitumen sealed trail from Wangaratta to Bright.
Two big events on the local calendar are the "Wangaratta Festival of Jazz" in late October and the "Stiched Up Festival" that runs from mid June to mid July each year. The King Valley - has many boutique vineyards, country hotels, beautiful lookouts and waterfalls, fishing and water sports.

Beechworth - A historic gold mining town, that has maintained its beautiful old sandstone buildings and facades, many listed with the National Trust. Also the home to the famous Beechworth Bakery.

Rutherglen - is home to some of Australia's most famous wineries.

Bright - Beautiful any time of the year. From the Autumn Art Festival and change of season, to the snow capped mountains in the winter.
